Bloedstone is a men’s heirloom jewelry brand, creating sustainable pieces that feel like modern relics rooted in timeless craft, ritual, & story.

Men's jewelry made to endure—in material and in meaning. Each Bloedstone piece is forged by experienced craftspeople who understand that heirloom-quality work demands both mastery and care. These aren't mass-produced accessories. They're symbolic objects designed to mark moments, to become part of your story.

Our process is deliberately human. From creation to delivery, real hands guide every stage. The ring case is hand-stitched. The note is handwritten. Because something meant to last generations should never feel transactional—it's the beginning of a legacy.

We work exclusively with recycled gold and silver, responsibly sourced stones, and local artisans who share our commitment to craft over convenience. Sustainability isn't a marketing angle for us—it's foundational. These pieces are designed to outlive trends, age with intention, and be passed down.

Every Bloedstone piece is a modern relic. Wear it. Mark time with it. And one day, hand it forward.

The ring is carved. Metal is cast. Masters engrave and set stone. What emerges is made to outlast us all—start to finish.

Ethically sourced stones

Sourcing Stone

We source stones as close to the earth as possible, traveling to gem and mineral shows and meeting directly with miners and rockhounds who've pulled these stones from the ground themselves. From lapis and bloodstone to tiger's eye and beyond, each stone is selected for their character—natural variation, depth of color, and the history it carries. Every stone has a story.

The Hands Behind the Work

We collaborate closely with master craftspeople whose skills are becoming rare, bringing together over a century of combined experience. Our metal casters, stone cutters, and hand engravers are all local to our Los Angeles studio. These long-standing relationships we've built are an essential part of the process and what give each piece its artisan quality.

Made to last for generations

Built to Outlast

A Bloedstone piece should feel as significant as a vintage Filson jacket or a broken-in pair of Levi’s—objects improved with time and use. Its value isn’t tied to a single moment, but built over time: a wedding band marks years together, a stone signet commemorates a birth or hard-won milestone. Made to age alongside you, these pieces accumulate meaning before they’re handed down with history intact.

Partnerships

Bloedstone is a proud member of 1% for the Planet, donating a portion of every sale to verified environmental nonprofits. Our first partnership supports the National Forest Foundation’s Southern California Forest Fund, helping restore and protect the Cleveland, San Bernardino, Los Padres, and Angeles National Forests through wildfire recovery and prevention efforts. As Californians, we believe in using our platform to give back and make a tangible impact on the land we call home.

Inspired by ritual & geology, we create pieces that feel timeless & storied.

Bloedstone is run by Cody and Christine Howell, a husband and wife team native to California—which is rare here in Los Angeles. We've lived all up and down the state, from the coast to the desert, and with that comes a deep appreciation for its complexity and beauty. That sensibility shows up in everything we make.

We're self-taught, but we don't treat that as an excuse for anything less than mastery. We work alongside artisans with over a century of combined experience—hand engravers, stone cutters, metal casters who've dedicated their lives to trades that are quietly disappearing. Their expertise pushes us. Our pieces are made to stand out not through gimmicks or trends, but through craft, intentionality, and the belief that objects should outlast the moment they're made for.

The people who wear our work tend to share certain values with us: an appreciation for how things used to be made, a reverence for the intrinsic beauty of raw materials, and the belief that meaningful objects are meant to be worn hard, not kept pristine. These pieces are designed to age alongside you—to accumulate scuffs, stories, and patina. They become more yours the longer you wear them.

We're raising our son now, and that's changed how we think about this business. It's not just a brand. It's a teaching ground for him, an heirloom in and of itself. We're building something we're proud to pass down to him the same way we hope the people who wear our work will pass it down to theirs.
